Keep it simple.
Product designers should be able to build what they propose. Drawing upon my full-stack experience, I design to meet immediate goals without limiting future potential. Above all, I cultivate an empathy for the user, and weigh the impact of every design decision on their experience.
On average, I design two or three significant new products every year, and do sustaining work beside.
I feel most useful when I distill complicated problems into simple and elegant solutions. When faced with intractable issues, I seek a "middle way" option to transcend the original dilemma. These solutions can sometimes emerge when goals and obstacles are fully understood, then broken down and considered holistically.
